Edgar Degas, \"Manet and Madame Manet,\" a masterpiece shrouded in mystery.1868-69<\/span>Do you know that the Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art has a collection of the \"Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art\" (Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art, 1964)?<\/p>\n

\u300019<\/span>In the mid-19th century, on the eve of the \"birth\" of Impressionism, the young Degas and Manet were friends and engaged in friendly rivalry. In this work, Degas painted Mr. and Mrs. Manet and presented it to Manet. However, in the present version, the right side of the canvas has been cut away and a new canvas has been added, as if to erase Mrs. Manet's face. What on earth is going on?2<\/span>What happened between people?<\/p>\n

2013<\/span>Since the year2017<\/span>The Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art and Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center have been collaborating on a project to enjoy theater and art at the museum at the same time, which was produced by the Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art and the Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center until 2006. The first performance of this project, a mystery play about Edgar Degas's \"Manet and Lady Manet,\" which was well received by the public, will be performed again. The play will be followed by a talk by the director and curator, and a special time for visitors to appreciate the work in detail in the exhibition hall.<\/p>\n

Please enjoy this daring mystery play about the love-hate relationship between painters and the anguish of art hidden in the \"Manet and Madame Manet.<\/p>\n
