Opened in 1859, the National Gallery of Scotland is a temple of beauty with one of the finest and broadest collections of Western paintings in the world.
This exhibition features some of Scotland's greatest treasures, including Raphael, El Greco, Velazquez, Rembrandt, Boucher, and other masters who have colored the history of Western painting from the Renaissance to the late 19th century. In addition to English painters such as Gainsborough, Reynolds, Turner, and Millais, who are the hallmark of the museum, many masterpieces by Scottish painters such as Ramsay, Raeburn, and Wilkie, which are rarely seen in Japan, will also be exhibited. Please enjoy the competition of the great masters (THE GREATS) who shine brightly in the history of art.
The National Galleries of Scotland is home to one of the world's leading collections of Western art, a vast treasure trove of fine quality of pieces.
