Requests at the time of admission

In order to ensure the appreciation and protection of the artworks, the museum asks that you do the following

• Do not touch the artwork or display cases.
  In addition to damaging the work, there is a risk that grease or dirt from hands may adhere to the work and stain or corrode it after several years. Also, please do not touch the frames, walls, displays, or display stands, as the works may be damaged by vibration.
• Only pencils may be used in the exhibition rooms.
  Please do not allow ink from sign pens, ballpoint pens, etc. to adhere to the work, as it cannot be completely removed.
• No umbrellas or large baggage allowed
  Please use the umbrella stand at the entrance of the museum for umbrellas and coin-returnable lockers for large baggage.
• Fresh flowers and other plants are not allowed in the main building.
• Eating and drinking are prohibited in the museum.
  Please refrain from bringing in food and drinks (candy, gum, bottled drinks) except in specific areas such as cafes and restaurants.
• Use of Smartphones and Cell Phones
  Please set your phone to silent mode and refrain from talking in the exhibition rooms.

Photography (including video)

Photography in the exhibition rooms is restricted because the works are protected by the Copyright Law, a law that protects the rights of the creators. Photography may be allowed in some areas depending on the collection or special exhibition, so please ask the staff.
