1987-. The fighting game "Street Fighter" was born during the heyday of the arcade game. The game, which specialized in "fighting," gained popularity in the United States and other countries from an early stage.
In 1991, "Street Fighter II" was released. The more sophisticated fighting system captivated people, triggering an explosive "Street Fighter II boom" and a rapid increase in the number of game enthusiasts. Since then, the series has continued to entertain game fans for about 35 years, adapting to the various forms of games that have emerged. Currently, it is also increasingly recognized as a driving force in "e-sports".
This exhibition, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter series, traces the history of "Street Fighter," centered on Street Fighter II, with a wealth of remaining materials and rare original artwork.
