After studying in the laboratory of Ikuo Hirayama, known for his Silk Road series, Ide visited Bali, Indonesia, in 1994 and was fascinated by the island. At the same time, he has been actively involved in art education for many years, holding Japanese painting workshops mainly for children in Fukuoka, Okayama, Aichi, and Tokyo, all of which have a strong connection with Bali.
This exhibition will feature approximately 25 works, mainly large-scale paintings depicting Balinese deities that have been exhibited since he became a member of the doujin, up to his most recent works. In addition, workshops will be held at schools and museums before and during the exhibition period, and the educational outreach activities will be honored through the exhibition of the artworks.
*Founded in 1898 under the guiding philosophy of Okakura Tenshin, a Japanese painting institute with over 100 years of history.

(For the physical disability certificate, the fee will be reduced by 20% for residents of Kitakyushu City aged 65 and over (a certificate issued by a public institution must be presented).
