Makoto Wada (1936-2019) is widely known as an illustrator and graphic designer. He was also a bookbinder, film director, essayist, composer, animator, art director, and many other facets of his work, and his creativity knows no bounds.
This is the first exhibition of its kind to provide a complete picture of Makoto Wada's vast and diverse work.
This exhibition introduces a wide variety of works created during his 83-year life, focusing on topics that are essential to understanding Makoto Wada. We are sure that you will discover a new side of Makoto Wada that you have never known before.

Sales are scheduled to begin at major Kitakyushu Monorail stations on Monday, November 7.
