The Mainichi Women's Calligraphy Exhibition was established as a sister exhibition of the Mainichi Calligraphy Exhibition, which boasts the largest scale and tradition in Japan, and is celebrating its 47th exhibition this year.
　Many women calligraphers have taken this exhibition as a stepping stone to become active at the forefront of calligraphy at the Mainichi Calligraphy Exhibition, regional exhibitions, and other events. In addition, this exhibition has been promoting calligraphy by awarding the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize, the Governor's Prize of each of the prefectures in Kyushu, Shimane, Yamaguchi, and Okinawa, and other prizes to encourage the exhibitors.
　This exhibition is open to all women of high school age and older, and is an opportunity to show the results of their daily practice.
