3. implementation overview
This fiscal year102The program was conducted at the school. In the online class, students were able to watch a video introducing the museum, learn about the museum'sVRThe class included "Experiencing Images" and "Interactive Appreciation Using Works from the Museum's Collection (Still Images)". In addition to the content of the online class, the on-site class incorporated the experience of touching replicas of paintings and sculptures and a visual experience using life-size tapestries of sculptures.
The pre-session briefing was basically held online at the same time for several schools that were offering online classes in the same month. Schools that were unable to meet the dates and times specified by the museum were accommodated on an individual basis. For all schools that were scheduled for on-site classes, we visited the schools to discuss the class content and confirm the class location.
4. survey results
- Sohyo (General Council of Trade Unions of Japan)
Regarding "participation satisfaction" in the teacher survey, 88% of the respondents were satisfied with the online class and 100% with the on-site class. The online museum tour was a good opportunity for children to experience art, and some children commented that they actually visited museums as a result of the class and that they would like to use it as a reference in their art appreciation instruction. - About Content

A "replica" was used in the on-site class. Faculty satisfaction with the replica was 100%.
especiallyVRSeveral commented that children enjoyed the museum tour and increased their interest in the artwork during the video experience. - Museum Response
Regarding the "museum's response" to the teacher survey, 88% of the respondents in the online class and 100% of the respondents in the on-site class were satisfied with the museum's response. Favorable comments were seen regarding the way the museum staff conducted the classes and interacted with the children. The advance briefing sessions and explanations in the manual were also favorably received. Note that in some schools where equipment was adjusted during the class, it took some time to adjust the equipment. In the next and subsequent years, we would like to make the pre-setup and operation of the equipment as well known as possible at the pre-briefing sessions and in the manuals.
